God loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us. There was and never will be a greater sacrifice than this. Jesus didn’t die because we deserved it, but because He loved each one of us so much that He was willing to sacrifice Himself on our behalf. Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus Christ died on a cross so that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). This was the ultimate sacrifice; someone dying so you might live. The story of our salvation is made all the more powerful because it was a perfect man-God in human form-who died for the sins of us all. Acts 4:12 says, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Only through the sacrifice of God’s son are we saved and able to approach His presence.
